Students from Federico traveled to Florence and Rome in 2011 for an amazing Pivot Point educational experience.

Florence: Beautifully situated on the banks of the Arno River, Florence was a Roman stronghold in the 1st century BC, but it was not until after 1200 AD that it began to come into its own as a commercial and cultural center. During the 13th Century, the merchants and tradesmen organized the guilds, which were to control the economy and government of Florence for nearly 150 years. These guilds supervised the construction of several important buildings of the city, and, with their new-found wealth, commissioned works of art which were to adorn the churches and palaces.

Rome: Rome, the capital of the Italian Republic, is one of the largest cities in the world with over 580 square miles and a population of over four million people. Legend tells us that Rome was founded by Romulus and Remus, the two brothers who were nursed by a she-wolf. More reliable sources date the beginnings of the city from the 8th century BC, when a small village was founded on the banks of the Tiber River as a meeting place for shepherds and farmers.

Joe Federico led Federico students to Tokyo last Fall for an amazing Pivot Point educational experience. Effortlessly blending the old and the new, Tokyo is a city that defies definition. Cutting edge technology glitters beside ancient temples, flashing neon lights bathe kimono-clad women, and shining skyscrapers tower above stunning Shinto shrines. At first glance a city clogged by polluting cars and harassed commuters, Tokyo has spots of tranquility and beautiful detail that amaze and astonish. Home to over 12 million people, this is a city with a history and a heart that captivates every visitor.

Gary Federico took Federico students to London this past Spring where they were able to learn with Pivot Point at Vidal Sassoon Academy! A blend of history, style and ground-breaking architecture and culture has created an amazing and constantly evolving London. Not surprisingly the capital has become a mecca for visitors and a great place to live. There really is something to appeal to everyone and whatever your interests may be, the  City has it covered. Central London encompasses most of London's main attractions, theatres and restaurants, and most places within this area are in walking distance of each other. Every area of London has something different to offer, whether it's attractions, open space, cuisine, nightlife or simply atmosphere.

Jeremy Federico took Federico students on this first study abroad trip.  In both Melbourne and Sydney students studied at Pivot Point International. Melbourne is a maze of hidden streets, opulent bars, fine dining restaurants and off-the-beaten-track galleries and boutiques.  In this friendly and cosmopolitan city, students enjoyed the finest in culture, the Discos and Clubs and wandered the parks and picturesque boulevards.  .

One of the world's greatest cities, Sydney, is impossible to describe in one short paragraph. Students soaked up its gorgeous harbor, embraced its outdoor lifestyle and awed at its abundant natural beauty.
