12/06/11 - Federico Students Travel to Paris & Brussels
A group of nine Federico Beauty Institute students got to spend ten days in Paris and Brussels this fall. The trip, which was part of the Pivot Point International program, was eye-opening for the students, who got to experience new cultures and explore new horizons in the beauty industry. 11/21/11 - Joseph Federico appointed to the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology
Joseph Federico, 30, of Sacramento, has been appointed to the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. Federico has been the chief financial officer of the Federico Beauty Institute since 2009, where he was director of financial aid from 2006 to 2009 and has served on the board of directors since 2004. He has been a member of the American Association of Cosmetology Schools and the California Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators since 2006. (Read more...)

11/10/11 - Graduate Uses New Salon to Mentor Federico Students
Minerva DelMastro graduated from the cosmetology program at Federico Beauty Institute in July 2010. Just days later, she passed her state board exam, landed her first stylist gig, and found out she was pregnant with her second child. Fast forward to one year later, Minerva has opened her own salon and become a national educator for Hairdreams Extensions. Life is happening fast for Minerva, both personally and professionally, and she couldn't be happier about it. (Read more...)

08/24/11 - Federico Student Shines at Beacon
Federico Beauty Institute student, Nichole May, first heard about the Beacon program when she went to the 2010 North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) with some friends. Federico Beauty Institute students have been busy! They’ve been participating in a variety of fashion shows lately, providing hair and makeup services for the models at each event. They also attended an industry trade show to learn the latest trends. By participating in shows like these, Federico students are given the opportunity to explore new areas of the beauty industry. It is with great sadness that Pivot Point International, Inc. announces today the passing of its founder and mentor, Leo Passage, as the result of a degenerative lung condition.

Charlotte Price, a graduate of Federico Beauty Institute, used her esthetics training to become a Certified Aveda Educator. A group of lucky students from Federico Beauty Institute recently travelled to London as part of a Pivot Point International study abroad trip. While in London they studied at the Vidal Sassoon Advanced Academy with acclaimed instructor, and International Artistic Director for Pivot Point, Yolly Ten Koppel. Yolly leads the Pivot Point Design Forum series, which showcases new trends, styles, and step by step instructions bi-annually. 02/28/10 - Federico Beauty Institute Students Attend ISSE Conference
From January 30 through February 1, Federico students were given the incredible opportunity to attend the International Salon and Spa Expo in Long Beach, California. With a full itinerary, Federico students spent the weekend learning about all of the latest salon and spa services and techniques.
