Federico Beauty Institute has pledged to reduce our impact on the environment by committing to conserving energy and water, reducing waste and pollution, recycling and purchasing recycled products, and implementing green building measures.

We pledge to be a Green Beauty Business and here are ways we show our commitment:

• Installation of solar-panels as a source of electricity
• 88kv photovoltaic system sitting on top of carport to shade up to forty-one cars
• Energy management system lights and HVAC
• Skylights
• Ceiling fans
• Recycle paper, cardboard, plastic aluminum cans and batteries
• Janitorial vendor uses all green products
• Compact fluorescent lights and T-8 florescent lights
• Use emails for memos
• Recycle photocopy and computer paper for note paper
• Save and reuse large envelopes and file folders
• Make two-sided copies
• Encourage the use of coffee mugs
• Buy in bulk to avoid excess packaging
• Use low flow toilets
• Use of electronic forms of marketing and advertising to communicate with guests, students and staff
• Battery and electronic recycling vessels placed around school
• Hydra Water Station for refilling water bottles to reduce the use of plastic bottles
